"Mariels" Maria BROCCOLI GRAPE SALAD

 

2 bunches of fresh broccoli, cut into bite size pieces

1 ½ cups celery, chopped

1 bunch of green onions, chopped

1 ½ cups of seedless red grapes halved

1 cup of raisons

½ pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

1 cup of sunflower seeds, or pine nuts, or sliced almonds

HONEY MUSTARD SALAD DRESSING

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 T prepared mustard (or use dried mustard to taste)

½ t lemon or lime juice

1 T honey

Whisk all ingredients together until well blended in small bowl and put aside.

 

DIRECTIONS

 

•  Place Prepared broccoli, celery, onions, grapes, raisins, and crispy bacon into large mixing bowl.

•  Whisk all ingredients of honey mustard salad dressing together until well blended in small bowl, then pour over broccoli mixture, stirring until combined.

•  Cover and refrigerate for several hours to overnight (which I think is better) allowing the blending of favors.

•  Add and mix sunflower seeds or other nuts of your choice.
