Along with friends Skip and Bobbie and Shari's sister Jean and her husband David, we went to the casino to see the Beach Boys in concert. We sang, played and had a great weekend. On the way home we received a call from Chris and Brenny who invited us to join them near the Houston Airport for dinner Saturday night. We just had time to stop at our house, change clothes and scoot off to the Saltgrass Steakhouse on US-59 North of Houston. What a perfect ending to a great trip. Not knowing if Skip and Bobbie were RV'ing over or wanting a hotel we booked both on our casino comps. Our plan was to drive the motorhome anyway and to put it in the shop on Monday for some repairs but...Monday IS LABOR DAY..duh. Jean and David had a Jacuzzi Suite (it was her birthday) and Skip and Bobbie had a "normal room" in the Inn at the Isle" we were snug in our Motorhome for the night. What a party! |
