New Wood Floor
July 13, 2010

| Here is a picture of the new wood floor that was installed in our living room and dining area. The flooring is made by Bruce ... it is called "engineered wood" ... it is 5/16" 5 layer plywood ... the top layer is oak with a natural finish. We purchased the flooring from Lowe's and they installed it. There are two different models of this floor; we chose the tongue and groove (nail down). |

"SkiGramp" Jeanette & Wayne's New Condo
| The first two are panoramics that I created using some free software ... it does not get all windows, doors, and ceiling lines lined up exactly but it is good enough to get the general idea. The condo is the left half of a one story duplex, the driveway is long enough so that we can park the motorhome there while we load and unload, the kitchen, dining, and living room is a big U (the kitchen is behind the wall on the leftin the picture, behind the living room is a four seasons sunporch with a view of a nature preserve with a pond. |

| Oshkosh had the snowiest December on record ... we got 30 inches of snow ... Green Bay also broke a record with 38 inches ... I took this picture yesterday (1/1/09)... the snow plows have the snow piled as high as the mail boxes ... it you walk across the back yard it is about knee deep ... We will go get the motorhome this morning and start packing ... Wayne |

SkiGramp's Family Photo
July 2008
![]() |
| Our family got together at a cottage on Sugar Lake (about 20 miles SSE of St. Cloud, MN) for two days ... We enjoyed each others company while we cruised the lake in a pontoon boat ... we saw lots of loons, some geese, and one bald eagle. We had plenty of good food including 3 egg omelets, steak, bratwurst, and home made cookies. We enjoyed Wisconsin cheese curds and Minnesota brewed beer. We have two sons ( both are sitting on the top row) and one daughter (holding the baby) |
Here are two pictures from the weekend while we were in Minneapolis to celebrate "Peter Wallace David's" first birthday. He is our fifth grandchild and our only grandson.

"SkiGramp" Wayne & Jeannette in California
March 2008
Jeanette and I took a day road trip in the Jimmy to the Anzia-Borrego Desert State Park today ... This year there are places in the desert that are really in bloom ... there is a great bloom in years when there are rain storms at the right time in the Fall and Spring (this is one of the years) ... the purple flowers are sand verbena, the yellow flowers are brittle bush, and we do not know the names of the white flowers ... In some places there were just purple flowers, other places purple and white, and one place there was yellow, white, and purple. The ocatilla are just budding and we saw a few cholla in bloom.

We are in Gray, Louisiana (between Houma and Thibodaux) working as part of a Habitat for Humanity Care-A-Vanner team. There are nine RVs on our team. There are also 13 AmeriCorp volunteers here that work along side of us each day. This is a House in a Box project. The outside and inside wall have been pre-built someplace else by volunteers and shipped here in a container. We hope to have the house ready for the plumbers and electricians before we leave in two weeks. |

| We purchased a new chair for our rig .. it is a glider rocker, swivels, and reclines. The separate ottoman glides. We bought it at a small Amish factory about 7 miles from Shipshewana, IN. We learned about the factory from an ad in the FMCA magazine. We went to the factory and they made a chair in the color we wanted before noon the next day. They have several different colors of fabric and three colors of leather. This is their website http://www.amishcountry.org/destinations/lambrightaluminum |
