Pap's Latest Project

I just finished building this Expandable wall clothes dryer rack.  It  mounts on the wall.  We have one in our laundry room that Kay uses daily.  Was a fun project to build.  I made this one from Poplar Wood, which I have a pretty large pile of I got from a friend.

Pap & Kay Share a 50 Year Old Memory

What a difference 50 years makes.   The first picture was taken of Kay and I with our oldest daughter Cindy in Anchorage , Alaska in January 1961, Cindy was 1 year old.  The bottom picture with the 3 of us on Jan 23rd at Cindys 50th Birthday Party.  Hard to believe it is the same 3 people.

Is it Spring Yet? No!

Woke up this morning to this.     10 inches of new snow here in PA, some places south of us lots more.

Pap Makes Pounding Benchs

Great Grandsons each got a hammer and tool set for their birthdays last month, and were pounding and pulling things up around their parents house, so my daughter (their Grandma) asked me to make them a pounding peg table, so this is the end result.

"Pap" Builds Cabinets for his Granddaughter

The Base Cabinet I built and granddaughter purchased the top from a cabinet shop to fit, and the wall cabinet my son in law and I just hung it tonight .   The base cabinet is 24" wide, 28 1/2" high and 70" long.    The wall cabinet is 12" deep x 36" high x 60" wide.     I built all this from scrap wood that son in law retrieves from the school system where he works,  stuff they tear out for remodeling.    Not sure what my next project will be.  LOL

Thanks Pap

Pap Sent this Bear Story

Bear was hit by a car at night, and woman thought it kept going, but was wounded enough that it crawled under this Highway Digital Detour Road sign next to where the State Highway Dept is replacing a bridge.  Real shame , was a really nice animal, and killed two weeks before our Black Bear season comes in.   Estimated about 250 to 300 lbs.

Thanks Pap
