Summertime Gators on the ranch

(Size of this critter may have been under estimated.....Gary and the team at Gator Country's "Gator Rescue" have been tracking this gator and it seems to vanish when they arrive. I took these shots the morning of July 1, 2011 to document the existance of the gator)

Irrigation Begins

June 19 marked the first day of watering on the hay fields at the Lazy A Ranch. Ray purchased a PTO driven pump and 4" Pipe to drive water to two high output "Water Cannons" which have proven to provide 1/2" of water over more that two acres per hour.

We proved this using a raing guage in the field for several hours to test the output.

Ray (R) and his son Ron (L) fire up the PTO pump
These things really work well

New goat born last night (June 11) was not eating nor with the "mom". Corey, the ranch hand, fed milk until the momma was rounded up and finally had her milk "drop" so she could feed. This took about 4 hours today off and on.
