| This is the motorhome barn and "guest sites". Our motorhome will fit inside, but they were working in there and I didn't want it to be in the way |

August 20 Update
" Rain Comes to Alto"
| On Monday, August 11th, we had over 6 1/2 inches of rain in 3 hours. You can see, our "little" bridge is not going to be long enough for this kind of water. The guy building the road and putting in culverts had just got done on Saturday before this happened. Washed everything away. Seems like we're taking one step forward and three steps back..the joy of owning property! Chris & Brenny |

Soon to be the pathway to "Paradise" |
Here are some pictures of our land that's across the street from my "old" house in Texas. We have purchased 78 acres, total. We had a contractor on Tuesday to start the clearing. Not doing what used to be common, the old bulldozer knocking down the trees, etc., piling it, and then burning the brush piles. These first 3 pictures are the "before" pictures.

First picture is of the machine that will be doing the work. "Make sure you point that thing at the trees, not Brenny"! Second picture, the machine is starting to take down a huge oak tree that is dead. Third picture, tree is down and he's grinding the stump. Nothing is left but mulch which goes back into the ground. Nice!!

Starting to grind and mulch the rest of the tree. Front of the machine..notice the teeth are not sharpe. Just a lot of torque behind it.

Finished product! Didn't get to start on the 72 acres that joins in the the back, it was too wet. Our next project is to have a road built to the creek and a bridge built across it to get back to the 72 acres. So, if you would like to send money, we would appreciate it.

Chris and I had the pleasure of seeing Lynn Redgrave perform at our "old church" in Kent, CT., this past Saturday. She did a beautiful piece that she calls, Rachel and Juliet. Rachel, being her mother just loved Juliet, of Romeo and Juliet. Lynn wrote some of this along with William Shakespear and parts were from Rachel' memoirs. We had a lovely time visiting with her and catching up on what's going on in her life with her family, acting career, etc. She is such a sweet person. I'm so honored getting to call her friend. Chris and Brenny's Fall Trip to Vermont
I wanted to send you some pix of our fall trip to Vermont. We had a great time! The weather cooperated with us, most of the time. The leaves were just starting to turn colors in some areas, and in others, they were "at peak". Picture 1, 2, and 3, are of a solid marble bridge was in Proctor Vermont. The water fall was down the river from it. As a matter of fact, most of the town buildings were made out of Vermont marble.

Picture 1 is of the town of Brandon. Of course, it was a beautiful town since my childs name is Brandon! Picture 2 and 3 are of apple trees in an apple orchard. It was just beautiful, red shinning apples on a green tree, blue skies, and fall leaves on the moutainside. I had to stop and thank God for such beauty.
